Medicine Man/Rolling Stone Father

A boy without his father waits so patiently on that day

When they will finally meet face to face

But as the boy waits patiently it seems like that day may never come

And by the time the boy reaches the age of 21

The young boy will now be a man, who practices medicine all over the land

Without the necessary teachings of a father who should have come

The boy no longer waits for that precious day

Because by then the young man’s life will have changed

And the father will soon be just another face

Every second, minute, and hour to the young man is just the time added up to the years he’s been without him

With the young man walking around exploring the world any man he sees could have been the one to plant his mother’s seed

Yet he knows of his fathers’ name but has not many words to say

For if that day ever comes when they meet face to face

It just maybe too late

For the father now lies on his deathbed patiently waiting to see his son face to face

Now regretting never to take the time to visit his son

One final request the father makes to the doctor is that his son knows he loves him, and he never meant to hurt him

The doctor then replies that the man is very kind, and that he loves his father for the few minutes they just shared together before he passed.
